B Headed

Once a upon a time, Bjork – The End.

I admit that I was neither a fan nor a critic of Bjork when I went to see her last week at the Hollywood Bowl. I went to the concert with an “open mind” only to leave completely captivated by her deep sense of artistry. What stands out about Bjork is the deep level of integrity she portrays as an artist. Watching her perform you get that she is simply herself. This little tiny woman commands a lot of inspirational power and is a true reminder of the importance of what it means to be true to yourself everyday in everything you do.

RIVIERAS

Recently, I had the pleasure of meeting Silvia, the Milan based designer for the line, Rosa Clandestino. When I first looked through her collection I had a slight sense of nostalgia coupled with excitement. Her pieces are sophisticated and chic, truly every girls dream.

I was in awe when I discovered there was literally  ’art’ printed on the lining of her dress coats. She explained that all of the art used are concepts created together with the artist. Silvia shared with us her passion for art, and the unique concept that she has made her line’s staple, ‘wearable art.’

In a time where everyone seems to be doing ‘collaborations,’ Silvia’s concept of marrying art with fashion brings us two different aesthetic worlds that compliment each other perfectly. I had so much fun shooting this story for Rosa Clandestino with Kristy and Serge. We listened to a lot of Lana Del Rey that day, and the rest is history.
